A misted East Asian landscape in soft teal and bone, with windswept pine branches arcing across pale washed mountains. The pines are painted in the manner of a Japanese ink-and-wash scroll — branches in warm umber, needles in deep blue-green, with small ochre seedpods clustered at the joints. Distant peaks read as pale teal washes against the cream sky. Small birds appear at intervals, painted in vivid teal with rust accents.Composition is asymmetric and atmospheric. Branches enter from the upper corners, sweep across the field, and exit at unexpected angles. The mountains in the background remain barely-there — more suggestion than statement. Visual density is genuinely sparse, which is the whole appeal: the white space does as much work as the painted elements.A natural fit for meditation rooms, tea rooms, primary bedrooms, and dining rooms in homes with Japanese or Scandinavian influence. Works in modern interiors that want a single moment of historical reference without committing to chinoiserie. Pairs with rift-cut white oak, black lacquer accents, unbleached linen, and shoji-influenced screens. Especially effective in rooms with diffused natural light — the pattern responds to the same conditions the original ink scrolls were designed for.
Wallpaper pattern is 24" x 24" repeat.
