Canvas & Ivy - Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about materials, samples, panels, scale, shipping, installation, and care.

What types of wallpaper do you offer?

Peel & Stick is removable and renter friendly. Pre-Pasted Non-Woven activates with water and installs easily. Traditional Non-Woven is paste-the-wall and preferred by many pros for long-term installs.

What are your standard roll specifications?

Most designs are offered at 24 inches wide. Peel & Stick and Pre-Pasted commonly ship at 27 feet long per roll. Traditional Non-Woven may vary by design. Always check the product page for exact specs before ordering.

Do you offer samples?

Yes. Standard samples are 8 by 10 inches and are meant for color, texture, and print quality checks. Images on samples are not to scale and are intentionally cropped to showcase detail.

What is a 24 x 24 panel and why would I order one?

Our 24 by 24 inch panel shows the pattern at true repeat size. It is the fastest way to confirm scale in your room before committing to rolls. Code WALLPAPER provides a 9 dollar credit toward a panel.

Why does my sample look smaller than the photos on the product page?

Styled room photos are inspirational and not always shown at true scale. Use the scale slider on the product page and consider a 24 by 24 panel if scale is critical for your space.

How do I calculate how many rolls I need?

Use the calculator on each product page. You can also share wall width and height, plus any doors or windows, and our team will confirm roll counts for you.

Can I install it myself or do I need a professional?

Peel & Stick and Pre-Pasted are DIY friendly with basic tools. Traditional Non-Woven installs best with a professional. If you prefer a pro, we maintain a growing installer directory for major US metros.

How should I prep my walls for the best result?

Start with clean, smooth, and fully dry walls. Repair holes, sand lightly, and wipe dust. Gloss, semi-gloss, or quality primer helps Peel & Stick. Fresh paint should cure for at least 30 days before installation.

Will it stick to textured walls like orange peel or knockdown?

Light texture can work with careful squeegee pressure. Heavy texture reduces adhesion and can show through patterns. A skim coat or lining paper improves results on heavily textured surfaces.

Is wallpaper OK for bathrooms and kitchens?

Great for powder rooms and ventilated baths. Avoid direct, constant water contact like inside showers. Use exhaust fans during and after showers to manage humidity.

Is your wallpaper safe and non-toxic?

Materials are PVC free and printed with eco certified inks that are low VOC. Safe for homes, nurseries, and light commercial spaces.

Where are your wallpapers designed and produced?

We design in the United States. We print in Europe where equipment, ink systems, and material standards deliver consistent, premium quality that meets our bar. This is part of our brand story and quality promise.

Where do orders ship from and why does tracking show the EU sometimes?

Orders are made to order and ship from our European production partner. This keeps quality consistent and reduces waste. Transit typically moves quickly through EU hubs before arriving in the US.

How long will production and shipping take?

Typical timelines run 7 to 12 business days door to door. You will receive tracking as soon as your order ships. Peak seasons can add a few days.

Do you ship internationally and are duties included?

Yes, we ship worldwide with free shipping. Any local duties, VAT, or import fees are paid by the recipient where applicable.

What is your returns and refunds policy for made-to-order wallpaper?

All sales are final once an order is processed since each roll is made to order. Please order samples or a 24 by 24 panel first if you are deciding on color or scale.

Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?

If production has not started we can often help with a change. Contact support as quickly as possible with your order number and requested update.

Will colors match between samples, panels, and full rolls?

Minor variation can occur across print batches. Order all rolls at the same time for a perfect match. Keep a small labeled offcut if you plan to reorder later.

Do you offer custom colors or scale adjustments on patterns?

Many designs can be scaled up or down and certain color tweaks are possible. Share your target wall size and reference images so we can confirm feasibility and timeline.

Is your wallpaper suitable for commercial projects like boutiques or offices?

Yes for light to medium traffic walls. For high traffic zones, chair rails, or frequent abrasion, choose Traditional Non-Woven and a pro install for maximum durability.

How do I clean the wallpaper after installation?

Use a soft cloth slightly dampened with water. Mild soap can help with spots. Avoid abrasives, bleach, and harsh chemicals.

What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?

Photograph the box label and any visible damage as soon as it arrives. Contact support with your order number and photos so we can make it right quickly.

Will Peel & Stick leave residue or damage paint when I remove it later?

On properly primed, fully cured paint, removal is designed to be clean. Pull slowly at a 45 degree angle. Very old or failing paint can lift, which is a substrate issue rather than the adhesive.

How long should I wait after painting before installing wallpaper?

Allow fresh paint to cure for 30 days. Shortcuts can trap moisture behind the paper and affect adhesion or removal later.

I rent. Is this a good temporary option for me?

Yes. Peel & Stick is designed for removable installs on sound, cured paint. Many renters use panels first to confirm scale and then complete a feature wall with rolls.

Can you match a specific paint color shown in photos online?

Screens vary. Use the 8 by 10 sample to confirm color in your lighting. If exact coordination is critical, test paint swatches next to the sample before ordering rolls.

Do you have a directory of verified wallpaper installers I can hire locally?

Yes. We maintain a growing US installer list. If your city is not listed yet, message support with your zip code and timeline so we can share nearby options.

My tracking seems stuck at a hub. Is that normal for international shipments?

It can sit for a short period while clearing carrier backlogs. Most packages resume movement within a couple of business days. If there is no update after that, contact support and we will investigate and reship if needed.

What if the pattern repeat or scale is different than I expected after install?

Use the scale slider on the product page plus a 24 by 24 panel for verification before ordering rolls. This avoids surprises and ensures the look you want.

Do you offer rush production for tight deadlines?

Reach out with your timeline and destination. If capacity allows we can often accelerate production or recommend the best shipping method for your date.

Can I order extra in case I make a mistake during installation?

Ordering one extra roll is wise for complex rooms or first-time installs. It also helps with future touchups if walls are modified later.

How are seams handled so they look clean and consistent?

Patterns are designed to tile seamlessly. Work plumb from a centered starting line and butt seams without overlap. Use a smoothing tool with even pressure for a tight join.

Do you have any first order promotions or sample-to-roll incentives?

If you purchased a standard sample, consider a 24 by 24 panel to confirm scale. Use code WALLPAPER for a 9 dollar panel credit. Free shipping is included on all orders.
