A continuous horizontal-banded pattern in deep navy-cobalt and lighter periwinkle blue, with cream and pale silvery passages running through at irregular intervals. The lines vary in weight and saturation — some are tight and dense, others widely spaced — and the bands of color shift gradually from one tone to another, so the wall reads as a continuous painted gradient rather than a strict striped repeat. Pale streaks of cream and silver run through both lighter and darker passages, providing visual highlight and preventing the blue from going monolithic.
The palette is restricted to blue and its neutrals. True cobalt dominates; periwinkle and pale silver-blue provide the secondary rhythm; cream highlights catch the eye where the lighter passages cross the wall. There is no figure, no motif, no decorative element — just continuous horizontal banding in a saturated blue family. The character is confident and contemporary, closer to a modern abstract painting than to a traditional grasscloth.
This paper functions as a saturated neutral — it provides color and rhythm without competing with art or furnishings. A primary bedroom behind a four-poster, a small library, a stair landing, a powder room with a black-lacquered vanity, a hallway. Pair it with white-painted millwork, oxidized brass, oxblood leather, and natural linen. The horizontal banding stretches the wall visually, which makes the paper particularly useful in narrow rooms or low-ceilinged hallways. Under warm lamplight the cobalt deepens toward midnight; in cool daylight the periwinkle highlights register more cleanly.
Wallpaper pattern is 24" x 24" repeat.
