A deep navy ground carries a structured Scandinavian folk repeat — symmetrical bouquets of stylized tulips and daisies in saturated rust, coral, ochre, and cream, anchored by curling indigo acanthus foliage. Hatching and stitch-like dotwork build texture inside each form, recalling embroidered sampler work. The composition is mirrored vertically and horizontally, with secondary daisy and berry motifs filling the negative space between primary blooms.
Scale is large and the layout is disciplined, almost wallpaper-as-textile — closer to a Nordic woven coverlet or a William Morris room set than a casual print. The palette is confident and warm-on-cool: rust and ochre against deep blue, with cream highlights providing the lift.
Suits a cozy primary bedroom, a small dining room, a stair hall, or a study with painted woodwork. Pairs with painted Scandinavian furniture, brass candlesticks, woven wool rugs, and stoneware. The dark ground holds beautifully under lamplight and candlelight; the warm motif tones keep north-facing rooms feeling welcoming. A paper that wants to be lived in — for rooms used in evenings and winters.
