A deep teal-blue ground hosts a layered composition of tropical foliage — variegated philodendron leaves in cream and green, large sago and palm fronds in deep emerald, broad anthurium-style leaves in dusty pink, and fine fern fronds threading between in pale sage and dusty rose. Small clusters of pink berry-like buds punctuate the negative space.
Scale is large and the visual weight is balanced — the variegated leaves and pink fronds give the composition lift, while the dark green foliage anchors. The palette is unusually refined for a foliage print: deep teal ground, emerald, sage, dusty rose, cream, with no aggressive contrast. Mood is a private greenhouse at the back of a Victorian estate — lush but composed.
Suits a primary bedroom, a guest bath with black hexagon floor tile, a small dining room with green millwork, or a sun porch. Pairs with caned furniture, brass and tortoiseshell hardware, white marble, and natural-fiber rugs. The cool ground performs well in any orientation; particularly atmospheric in evening lamplight. A paper that reads contemporary while drawing on traditional botanical-illustration vocabulary.
