A close-cropped, gouache-rendered citrus pattern in which whole and halved fruits — pink grapefruits, juicing oranges, key limes, and pale lemons — fill the entire field with almost no ground showing through. Each fruit is painted with thick, opaque strokes, pith and segments clearly defined, and the cut surfaces glistening with the wet, slightly translucent quality of fresh juice. Glossy dark green leaves in two and three-leaf clusters thread between the fruit, and small white five-petal citrus blossoms appear at intervals as cooling pauses.
The palette is unusually balanced for a tropical motif — saturated oranges and grapefruit corals, vivid limes, and acid yellows are countered by the deep emerald of the leaves and the soft cream where the ground occasionally peeks through. The painterly approach is closer to a Provençal market poster than to a refined botanical, with confident, slightly imperfect brushwork at the leaf veins and pith lines.
The paper rewards rooms that already lean cheerful. A breakfast banquette, a pantry papered top to bottom, a bar cart wall, a small powder room in a vacation home. It plays beautifully with terracotta tile, polished brass, marble countertops, and unstained natural wood. South-facing rooms intensify the citrus and the room hums; in north-facing rooms the cream ground dominates and the pattern softens to something more pastoral.
Wallpaper pattern is 24" x 24" repeat.
