A warm ivory ground holds a lush, full-bloom repeat of azaleas in coral, deep pink, and pale peach, paired with substantial deep teal and forest leaves. The painting is confident and watercolor-influenced, with each blossom layered through pink-to-coral gradients and the foliage rendered in saturated, almost lacquered greens. Small sprigs of orange-red secondary flowers and ghosted background leaves add depth without crowding.
Scale is large and the density is full — this is a generous, painterly floral with no shy spots. The palette is unmistakably Lowcountry spring, but the saturated greens and confident brushwork keep it from feeling sweet or chintzy. The mood is gardens-in-April, full sun, a brick walled garden in full bloom.
A natural fit for a sunroom, a primary bedroom, a small dining room, or a covered porch ceiling. Pairs with rattan, white-painted wicker, blue-and-white porcelain, and brass lanterns. The cream ground keeps the paper bright in north-facing rooms; in south-facing rooms with strong sun, the saturated florals will deepen and read richer through the day.
